FRENCH BLACKSMITHS VISITED KAMAZ

Representatives of the French company SIFCOR Groupe, one of the largest European forging enterprises, paid a two-day visit to KAMAZ PTC.

The delegation led by François Deguy, Managing Director of SIFCOR Groupe, visited the forge plant of KAMAZ. The company's representatives assessed technical potential of the automated line for the production of crankshafts located in Forging and Stamping Block No. 3, assessed their quality.

Europe's leading specialists arrived at KAMAZ as partners in implementation of the program for crankshaft production for passenger cars. In the autumn of 2017, the Managing Board of the project Reengineering of Vehicle Production and Creation of Advanced Lineup of KAMAZ Trucks launched the first stage of the modernization project at the forge plant. The program of development of crankshaft production for passenger cars is to be implemented within three year.

According to Aleksandr Kalashnikov, Director of the Forge Plant, in the course of the meeting the parties extensively discussed issues of equipment modernization at the plant for crankshaft production for passenger cars, and also a possibility to introduce the joint project for production of gears and details with a ready tooth by method of precision stamping.

The forging of SIFCOR Groupe is currently working not only for the automotive industry of France, but is also one of the best forging plants in Europe. As François Deguy noted, they got acquainted with KAMAZ about 10 years ago, and modernization of the forging has been repeatedly discussed with KAMAZ experts lately.
