On Thursday, June 16, within the framework of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, a memorandum of understanding was signed between KAMAZ PTC and Murom Machine-Building Plant Production Association JSC.
The document was signed by Zhanna Khaliullina, Deputy General Director of KAMAZ PTC for Human Resources Management, Organizational Development and Corporate Governance, and Sergey Baranov, Head of Murom Machine-Building Plant Production Association JSC.
The parties plan to establish a joint venture in Murom, Vladimir Oblast. The enterprise is to develop and produce power steering mechanisms, electric transmissions, mechatronic devices for generating and recovering electricity, as well as other electromechanical devices to ensure the operation of vehicles.
The companies are interested in developing and deepening cooperation on a long-term and stable basis. The parties have high-tech production, highly qualified personnel, scientific and technical competencies in the development and production of various vehicles and auto parts, vehicle operation and maintenance.
The signed document will enable to join forces to create a Russian company to become a market leader in the production of components for vehicles of various classes, including zero emission vehicles. The goal of cooperation is to increase the global competitiveness of Russian-made products, constantly improve their design and expand the use of electric transport in the Russian Federation, which, among other things, helps reduce the negative impact of transport on the environment.
