KAMAZ AND STAVROPOL KRAI EXPAND COOPERATION

16 June 2022

Within the framework of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, General Director of PTC KAMAZ Sergey Kogogin and Governor of Stavropol Territory Vladimir Vladimirov signed an agreement on the development of Stavropol Regional Industrial Park Master.

As it was said during the meeting of the two leaders, in the period 2016-2020, more than 100 thousand sq. meters of production space of SRIP Master were reconstructed. More than 700 million rubles of state support were allocated for these purposes. To date, the park has 66 residents with a total workforce of more than 1,000 people.

Currently, SRIP Master has no areas available for new residents.

In view of an increased demand from business, the head of the region took the initiative to build a new phase of the industrial park. The idea was supported by the management of KAMAZ PTC.

As part of the meeting at SPIEF, a road map was signed to construct the 4th phase of an industrial park with an area of 40 thousand square meters, 2 billion rubles worth.

“This is indeed a very effective experience when we, together with the leaders of Stavropol Krai, decided to create an industrial park for small and medium-sized businesses at the premises of an outdated production site. Time has shown that the idea has fully justified itself, and we are ready to continue developing the park,” Sergey Kogogin said.

“Creation of SRIP Master is a very successful example of cooperation between KAMAZ PTC and Stavropol Krai. This is an effective tool to support small and medium-sized businesses focused on industrial production activities. The demand for the capacity of the park is far ahead of the capacity of this site. I am sure that by supporting the development of a new line of SKIP Master, we will give a worthy response to the requests of the business community, support the development of the economy and the stability of the labor market in the region,” commented Vladimir Vladimirov.

In his turn, the top manager of KAMAZ PTC addressed the head of the region with a proposal to create a co-working center in Stavropol to support young entrepreneurs and their projects. As it was said, according to the concept, the projects of novice businessmen trained at the site of the center will be able to be further developed at SRIP Master. The head of Stavropol Krai supported this initiative. Instructions were given to start the relevant preparatory work.
