KAMAZ at the Transport and Roads of Siberia Exhibition

17 April 2017

KAMAZ (part of Rostec State Corporation) took part in the Transport and Roads of Siberia-2017 exhibition.

The 23rd Transport and Roads of Siberia Specialized Exhibition of Road Machinery and Transport, Equipment, Spare Parts came to an end in Irkutsk. KAMAZ presented KAMAZ-6520 LUXE vehicles, a KAMAZ-6586 truck and Fueler 66062 on a KAMAZ-43118 chassis in its exposition.

According to Svetlana Svirkina, Minister of Construction, Road Economy of Irkutsk Oblast, who visited the exhibition, the construction of highways Tayshet – Chuna – Bratsk and Irkutsk – Listvyanka would be finished in the region in 2017. Works will start at new sites: on the highway Irkutsk – Goloustnoe, a road to the village of Novogrudinino. "The Ministry has a host of plans for this year. On top of all this, we are beginning to construct the road Kirensk – Kazachinskoe that I'd name the road of life as it's a very important site," Svirkina emphasized during the exhibition. "We are on the threshold of projecting several roads too, which will be a backlog for our work in 2018-2019."

KAMAZ's exhibits are ideal for all these large-scale projects and can operate even under the severest conditions of Siberia. Moreover, truck drivers can work in comfrot. For instance, the KAMAZ-6520 LUXE model is equipped with a new comfortable cab with a whole set of options, including an air conditioner, an autonomous heater and electric equipment. There is an enhanced front suspension (with a maximum load of 9 tonnes instead of 7 tonnes), hence the capacity of the dump truck increased by two tonnes. The optimized geometry of the new NEFAZ tipping body enables to better distribute load between the front and rear axles, and also avoid overload. The use of unserviceable bushings of springs helped to save time and maintenance manhours. To add to this, the vehicle features the latest hydraulic system by HYVA that proved to be reliable in European dump trucks used in Russia.
