KAMAZ DEALERS CONFERENCE

14 June 2022

Moscow hosted the 25th conference of official dealers of KAMAZ PTC in which Sergey Kogogin, General Director of the company, took part.

The Dealer Conference is a traditional event that is held to share sales and development experience between dealership centers and company specialists. This year, representatives of 118 companies of the dealer network, as well as 24 official partners of KAMAZ, manufacturers of special equipment, became its participants.

The plenary part of the conference was opened by KAMAZ General Director Sergey Kogogin. He thanked his colleagues for their work, summed up the results of the past year and announced plans for 2022.

“The key task now is to maintain the transport security of the country and ensure the uninterrupted production of vehicles to meet the requirements of consumers. Therefore, we focused our main efforts on the development and production of the so-called “sanction-proof” versions of vehicles,” Sergey Kogogin said. “The company does not intend to abandon the promising line of K5 trucks in the development of which a lot of money and time have been invested. We plan to start assembling KAMAZ-54901 vehicles from January 2023 without the participation of foreign partners and gradually introduce the entire range of K5 vehicles to the market by 2023. When developing new versions of these trucks, we focus our demands for components on Russian manufacturers and suppliers from friendly countries.”

The head of the company also shared his plans for a new product in the model range – COMPASS medium-duty trucks introduced to the Russian market this year. According to Sergey Kogogin, the entry of trucks of this family into the Russian market can be considered quite successful. The COMPASS-9 and COMPASS-12 have been on sale since the beginning of the year and already have a wide range of available superstructures. Together with partners – manufacturers of special equipment, a large amount of work was carried out. Today, all the most popular types of vehicles based on the COMPASS-9 and COMPASS-12 chassis are available to customers: curtain-sided trucks, drop-side trucks, drop-side trucks with loader cranes, insulated vans, refrigerators, garbage trucks. At the end of the year, new models will be added to this line.

“Today the world lives in new political and economic realities. But they shouldn't scare us. In the history of our company, there have already been trials that we have successfully overcome. I can assure you that even now we know what to do, how to maintain production and market positions,” Sergey Kogogin emphasized concluding his speech.

The top managers of KAMAZ also made presentations on their areas of work. In particular, information was provided on the development of a new product line, the production of passenger transport, sales of spare parts and after-sales service. The topics of leasing from the manufacturer and financial services were touched upon. During the round table, the participants discussed quality issues, and the dealers managed to directly ask their questions to the managers of KAMAZ and the representatives of special equipment manufacturers.
