KAMAZ IMPLEMENTED ALL SOCIAL OBLIGATIONS

The results of implementation of obligations under the Collective Agreement of KAMAZ PTC in 2017 were summed up at a staff conference which took place at the automobile plant yesterday.

Sergey Kogogin, Director General of KAMAZ PTC, Aleksandr Vasilyev, Chairman of the Trade Union Committee, and other managers and experts participated in the event. KAMAZ subdivisions selected 300 delegates fr om their staff to participate in the conference.

A speech on the company's performance and implementation of items of the Collective Agreement for 2017 was delivered by the representatives of the corporate management and the trade union committee – Andrey Maksimov, Deputy Director General of KAMAZ PTC – Financial Director, and Dilus Ilyasov, Deputy Chairman of the Trade Union Committee for Social and Economic Activity.

According to the results of the year, the enterprise overfulfilled the business plan: in all 38,192 vehicles were sold in 2017, which is by 11% more than in 2016. At the same time, sales in Russia grew by 18%, a significant increase was registered in sales of vehicles from the new lineup – by 71% against 2016. For now, the lineup of the company numbers over 60 models and 1,500 versions. And the lineup continues to expand. One of last year's most successful steps is that the upgraded version of the popular KAMAZ-5490 truck tractor was brought to market. To add to a production and sales boost, KAMAZ performed very well in all areas of its activity.

According to Andrey Maksimov, Deputy Director General of KAMAZ PTC – Financial Director, conditions for development and growth of industrial production created in the company triggered its achievements in the social sphere. Last year's performance evidences that KAMAZ is a socially oriented company fulfilling all its obligations. "Almost 865 million rubles were spent for social benefits, services and guarantees offered to the staff in 2017. Every year we increase this sum. And in 2018 over 933 million rubles will be allocated for these purposes," informed Maksimov.

It was mentioned that regular rates of pay, salaries assigned to positions, compensatory and incentive payments were made in strict adherence to the collective agreement. Besides, the speakers summed up results of implementation of the most important aspects of the company's social policy related to provision of protective gears, catering, health care and children's summer holidays, as well as execution of youth events, assistance in house-buying and other issues.

High production results and a sales growth enabled to reach a 11.5% increase in an average salary for 2017. In October, wages and salaries were indexed by 6%. Besides, a lump-sum remuneration was paid to the staff twice last year.

"I'm satisfied with production and financial results of our company's work in 2017," said Sergey Kogogin, Director General of KAMAZ, summing up the results of the collective agreement conference. "Achievements in the production industry and on the market enabled us to implement all items of the Collective Agreement." According to the company's manager, with account of market growth rates this year KAMAZ continues pursuing its ambitions. "We are sure that we hit the right path. The country's economy is reviving after a recession period. There will be difficulties, but we are developing with the support of the Russian government. We will search for new measures to support our employees, continue helping young people in the company," promised Sergey Kogogin drawing attention to the fact that the main plant of KAMAZ – vehicle production – is today headed by a manager who is hardly 35.

Also, Sergey Kogogin urged the plant management to focus on the issue of arrangement of safe labour conditions, exclude a token approach to instructions, and employees to abide by occupational safety and health rules on workplaces. "Only in 2017, 1,700 modern workplaces appeared at KAMAZ, and a share of new workplaces wh ere labour safety regulations are ensured both in relation to equipment and technologies will grow. But, despite the up-to-date equipment, we shouldn't forget that it's important to comply with workplace safety rules in difficult engineering production," reminded the Director General.

In conclusion, the top manager of KAMAZ thanked the employees for successful work in 2017. "We did a great job, and I'm confident in our highly skilled employees! We will develop a new version of the Collective Agreement for the next period. And I'm sure that we'll as usual take a responsible approach to making up documents and be able to approve the Collective Agreement which will satisfy both the KAMAZ workers and the managers of the enterprise," said Kogogin.
