KAMAZ SPECIAL VEHICLES FOR THE MINISTRY OF EMERGENCY SITUATIONS OF THE KYRGYZ REPUBLIC

A batch of 40 ATs-6.0-40 fire tankers based on the KAMAZ-43118 chassis was delivered for the needs of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The solemn ceremony of handing over Russian-made special vehicles was attended by Minister of the Russian Federation for Civil Defense, Emergency Situations and Elimination of Consequences of Natural Disasters Alexander Kurenkov, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic Akylbek Zhaparov.

“More than 200 emergencies of various nature are registered annually on the territory of our republic. The property loss caused by emergency consequences is about four billion soms. Having received these vehicles, we will be able to completely renew the fleet of fire trucks of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and facilitate our rescuers’ work greatly,” Akylbek Japarov commented on the delivery.

In his turn, Alexander Kurenkov noted that the vehicles were specially made for the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic. The KAMAZ-43118 (6x6) all-terrain chassis was used in production. Therefore the special vehicles feature increased cross-country ability, which is especially important in mountainous terrain and off-road conditions. The Russian manufacturer took into account the colleagues’ wishes based on the typical dimensions of fire stations, the height of road bridges, as well as operating conditions and maintenance capabilities.

“The technical characteristics of our fire trucks enable to effectively fight fire in difficult climatic conditions. They are indispensable in megacities, in rural and mountainous areas,” Alexander Kurenkov emphasized.

The ATs-6.0-40 fire tankers based on KAMAZ vehicles are equipped with a water tank with a capacity of 6000 liters and a foam tank with a capacity of 360 liters. The pump capacity is 40 liters of water per second. The vehicle is equipped with 18 fire hoses of different diameters. There is also a hydrant, a hydraulic elevator that collects water from aryks, ditches, and the necessary emergency equipment and tools. In addition, the fire tank is equipped with three ladders of different lengths, which can effectively fight fires in rural and mountainous areas.

Russia continues to strengthen cooperation with friendly states, concluding international contracts and implementing promising projects. With a new supply, Russian enterprises assisted the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan in terms of technical fitting out. In general, Kyrgyzstan is a traditional sales market for KAMAZ products. The next batch of vehicles for the friendly country was manufactured jointly with the partner of the auto giant in the production of special-purpose fire trucks on the KAMAZ chassis – JSC Vargashinsky Plant of Fire Fighting and Special Equipment.
