According to KAMAZ's forecast, by the end of 2021, the company's sales will have grown to 44 thousand trucks (+19%, by 2020). In 2022, the company intends to increase vehicle sales by about 2.3% in annual terms, to 45 thousand units.
According to Sergey Kogogin, General Director of KAMAZ PTC, the company's revenue by the end of 2021 will have exceeded 250 billion rubles, which is at least 34.5% more than the turnover of 2020, when sales brought 185.9 billion. “Regarding the company's work, as they say, it's a sin to complain, everything is in order with the market, although it is difficult to work, nevertheless, everything is working out for us. We expect revenue above 250 billion and sales by the end of 2022 – up to 44 thousand. If we fail to make it, it will be quite a bit,” said Sergey Kogogin. In 2022, the company intends to increase sales of trucks and plans to sell 45 thousand vehicles, including 6 thousand units for export. The plan for revenue is about 270 billion rubles.
Sergey Kogogin also focused on the KAMAZ truck of the new generation K5. “We have ambitious plans for 2022 – the volume of K5 sales will amount to eight thousand units. For more than 30 K5 models, pilot batches were manufactured and handed over to customers in 2021,” said Sergey Kogogin. “The main task was dump trucks with different wheel formulas. It is especially pleasant that we sent the first trucks to the Baikal-Amur Mainline, to our military builders. I try to keep track of how their work is progressing every week. One gets the feeling that by the end of the tests, military drivers will ask modern dump trucks – they provide higher output, reduce specific fuel consumption by up to 20 percent, and are incomparable in terms of comfort. Classic 8x4 and 6x4 AWD vehicles are also being tested in the North."
For several years now, KAMAZ's order book has been completed for months in advance. And if you order a vehicle today, then, according to Kogogin's rough estimate, it will not be possible to receive it until April.
