Under the project for development of components production of KAMAZ's automobile plant, it is planned to purchase new equipment for a site of production of metal pipes of the original details shop.
Hundreds of pipes for steering, cooling and brake systems are produced at this site. They are produced on machines which are tens of years old, and therefore products are often finished manually. Nevertheless, from time to time a defect is revealed – leakage at the juncture.
Now, by order of the automobile plant, new up-to-date CNC machines which will work faster and bend with high precision are being produced. The unit will also help greatly reduce the number of preproduction activities, which will cheapen and accelerate the development of new products. A pipe bending machine is expected at the plant at the end of the year. Later machines for pipe stripping and crimping will join the new set of equipment.
