NEW KAMAZ TRAINING AND SERVICE CENTER OPENED IN TURKMENISTAN

15 November 2021

The KAMAZ Training and Service Center was opened in the Turkmenbashi district of Balkan Province of Turkmenistan.

The event was attended by Serdar Berdimuhamedov, Deputy Prime Minister of Turkmenistan. The facility was built as directed by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to set up KAMAZ training and service centers in the regions of the country.

“Thanks to the Turkmen leader’s support, this country's vehicle fleet is regularly replenished with modern vehicles for various purposes, including KAMAZ trucks. During the partnership, thousands of various trucks of this brand operating well in our climate have been delivered to Turkmenistan. And the company's development engineers are constantly updating the vehicles, improving their properties," Serdar Berdimuhamedov said at the opening ceremony of the center.

Today KAMAZ special vehicles are used at the largest construction sites in Turkmenistan. Another big center for servicing KAMAZ vehicles will help builders to work more efficiently and to implement construction projects much faster.

The two-story building houses a showroom, office rooms, a dressing room with a shower, a vehicle service station, a warehouse, premises for repairing units and a car wash. The service center has all the necessary equipment and tools for diagnostics, maintenance and repair of the entire range of KAMAZ vehicles, including the new generation K5.

“This multifunctional center will service not only KAMAZ vehicles, but also vehicles of other brands. Since the city is a port, there are a lot of tractors there, and the new KAMAZ auto center will help freight forwarders a lot,” said Marat Garifullin, Foreign Trade Company KAMAZ, Director for Central Asia. He also said that similar KAMAZ auto centers were currently being constructed in three more provinces (welaýatlar) of Turkmenistan: Lebap, Mary and Dashoguz Regions.

Turkmenistan is one of the largest and stable sales markets for KAMAZ products. During the period of cooperation, more than 11,000 KAMAZ vehicles have been delivered to be used in various sectors of the country's economy. They include 2 thousand vehicles sold by KAMAZ over three years, under the contract for the supply of vehicles and spare parts signed according to the Decree of the President of Turkmenistan in 2019.

The first KAMAZ training and service center was opened in Ashgabat back in 2008. In addition to the supply of vehicles and their full maintenance, including diagnostics and overhauls, the center provided trainings for Turkmen specialists. They could learn about characteristics, operation, maintenance, diagnostics and current repair of KAMAZ vehicles there.
