Sergey Kogogin Congratulated KAMAZ-master on Birthday

17 July 2017

Today, on July 17, the KAMAZ-master team celebrates its 29th anniversary. Sergey Kogogin, Director General of KAMAZ PTC, was one of the first to congratulate the racers and all engaged in building and developing the team.

"Your united skillful team meets its 29th birthday with victories. In January, the KAMAZ-master team won two top positions at the Dakar-2017. You won an absolute victory at the Africa Eco Race rally, conquered difficlult stages of the Crimea-2017 race where all three prize places of the podium were swept by you. Now, with great agitation, we are waiting for the results of the Silk Way Rally and wish the team new victories," the greeting card says.

As the head of KAMAZ noted, there are technical milestones that will make it into the team's history this year. A brand new 13-litre racing engine meeting new regulations of the Dakar rally-raid was developed. It is achieved thanks to highly skilled experts working in close cooperation at all levels: from design engineers and manufacturers to racers on a track. On behalf of all KAMAZ employees, Sergey Kogogin wished the team confident starts, favourable roads and tiumphant finishes.

The KAMAZ-master team is established in 1988. This is the only Russian team of the factory successfully presenting the country in the world motor racing, is a multiple prize-winner and a 14-time winner of the Dakar supermarathon, by right topping the global rating of racing teams. It's peculiarity is that it is the only team in the elite of international rally racers that develops, designs, assembles racing trucks without assistance and wins in them in competitions worldwide.

Since the moment of its establishment, the team has been racing only in diomestic vehicles raising the prestige of the motor racing and promoting Russian machinery at the global level. In parallel, rally raids in which the team participates serve as kind of a testing ground for KAMAZ: technical novelties and design developments are checked there to be further put into batch production.
